Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, PC port v1.0.2
No game data is included. You need your own Xbox copy of Chaos Bleeds as a disc image (
.isoor.xiso).
Texture packs on Android, and more texture pack formats on PC.
Android 📱
- Texture packs work. Turn them on in the Textures tab. Packs live in
games/Buffy Chaos Bleeds/textures_replacement/load, as on the PC, and a PC pack copies straight over. Textures dump totextures_replacement/dumpwith the same names and pixels as on the PC, so you can make a pack on either. - Fixed long text cut short. Some names and paths (texture pack files, for one) were cut to half their length on Android.
PC 🖥️
- Uncompressed DDS replacements now load. Windows' own DDS decoder only reads compressed DDS (DXT1/3/5), so 32-bit uncompressed DDS files in a pack were skipped. The port now reads them itself.
Texture packs take PNG, or DDS that's either compressed (DXT1, DXT3, DXT5) or uncompressed 32-bit, at any size.
Install
- PC, updating from v0.3.0 or later: the launcher offers the update when it starts, or click Check now on the Play tab.
- PC, new install: download Buffy-Chaos-Bleeds-PC-v1.0.2.zip below and unzip it anywhere. Run
Buffy Launcher.exe, open the Install tab, choose your disc image and a folder, then click Install. - Android: download Buffy-Chaos-Bleeds-Android-v1.0.2.apk below and install it over the previous version (your game files, saves and settings stay). For a new install, see the README.
Known limits
- Android: the North American release and the FPS counter aren't there yet. Only a Snapdragon phone has been tested.
- Story co-op is still experimental. Linux and Steam Deck (Proton) are still untested.
