Gameplay

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Spies couldn't be knocked out or elbowed after interrupting a computer or hacking panel.
  • Spies will no longer briefly get stuck in weapon mode when shooting a Sticky Cam or become permanently stuck if shooting a Sticky Cam during a crouch transition.
  • Motion Vision will no longer incorrectly detect players behind solid objects when looking through glass.
  • The Mercenary's flashlight will no longer turn off when entering Sniper Mode, similar to the Xbox version.
  • Scope sway in Mercenary Sniper Mode has been improved to be more consistent on higher frame rates.
  • When playing as a client, the pickup interaction for the disk objective will no longer occasionally replicate incorrectly, preventing the Spy from picking it up.
  • The Shocker Gun tase sound will no longer repeat unexpectedly when playing as a client.
  • The Sticky Camera activation sound will no longer repeat unexpectedly when playing as a client.
  • Camo. Suit will no longer occasionally render the Spy uncloaked when playing as a client.
  • When playing as a Mercenary, disabling Enhanced Reality will no longer cause the audio to become stuck at the location where it was turned off.
  • Opening the Strategic Map on a level without one assigned will no longer crash the game.

Enhancements

  • Reduced the height distance at which jumps lock-on and snap to nearby enemies to 7.5 meters.
  • Adjusted the grab angle to make grabbing Mercenaries from the left side more reliable.
  • Camo. Suit will no longer be detected by security cameras or Motion Vision.
  • Camo. Suit will no longer uncloak when performing ledge climbs at higher frame rates.
  • Added an optional HUD element to show the player's current location.
  • Show Connected Players (Scoreboard) is now enabled by default, and its toggle state is saved across multiple games.

General

  • New GUI for Reloaded settings has been added. Open the Reloaded settings with F12 or Ctrl+O hotkeys.
  • EAX will be automatically restored if the necessary entries are missing from the Windows Registry.
  • The voice chat sample rate has been increased from 8000Hz to 11025Hz, providing a slight improvement in quality.
  • The game will no longer continuously attempt to access the microphone when Windows denies access or when no microphone is connected, preventing performance issues.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Windows 7 from launching the game.
  • Sessions are now logged in UTC time for ChaosTheory.log instead of the PC's local time zone, ensuring consistent logs when sent to others.

Input

  • Mouse sensitivity for the Spy Binoculars and Mercenary Sniper Mode can now be configured through the Reloaded settings.
  • Spy Binoculars and Mercenary Sniper Mode can be configured to have matching horizontal and vertical sensitivity through the Reloaded settings. In legacy sniper mode, the game has a slower vertical sensitivity in these camera modes.
  • Sticky Cam and Cam. Net. zoom levels no longer break at higher frame rates.
  • Mouse input has been improved for the interactable spotlights on Missile Strike.

Graphics

  • Light beams now render properly in the engine without requiring dgVoodoo2.
  • Shadow resolution can now be configured up to 16K resolution on supported GPUs through the Reloaded settings.
  • Texture filtering can now be configured through the Reloaded settings.
  • Added the option to toggle between fullscreen and borderless through the Reloaded settings.

Maps

  • Enhanced Cinema
    • Bug fixed: The Cafeteria objective interaction was not working correctly.

  • Enhanced Mount Hospital
    • Improved the ladder climbing for Spies in various areas.
    • Bug fixed: Inconsistent bullet penetration on the 2nd floor's fake ceilings.

  • Enhanced Orphanage
    • The Washroom vent near the computer objective has been restored.
    • The Washroom vent on the ceiling has been restored.

  • Enhanced Polar Base
    • Bug fixed: A blocking volume was adjusted to prevent Spies from jumping onto the exterior wall near the Drilling Tower's drop zone.

  • Enhanced River Mall
    • The vent from the Offices objective to the Hi-Fi Showroom has been restored.
    • The Cam. Net. in Central Post has been removed.
    • Bug fixed: Hi-Fi Curtains interaction was not opening the shutters for Mercenaries.

  • Skyscraper
    • The exterior has been reworked with more cover and quicker access to the connector vent between the Living Room and Private Offices.
    • Bug fixed: Spies could open one of the doors for the outside dropzone from the exterior side.

  • Enhanced Sanctuary
    • One of the Mercenary spawn points has been moved to Fellowship Hall.
    • Bug fixed: The street lights in the playground area had no collision.

  • Steel Squat
    • Bug fixed: The explosives used for Crane Control's script could be destroyed before the event.

  • Enhanced Steel Squat
    • Bug fixed: The explosives used for Crane Control's script could be destroyed before the event.
    • Bug fixed: A map leak caused no BSP collision on one of the walls in connector.

  • Enhanced Vertigo Plaza
    • Bug fixed: Doors that were meant to remain open after completing certain objectives were incorrectly closing when triggered by their presence trigger.
