Fractional desktop scaling now draws the way Windows does. With the experimental desktop scaling on at 125, 150 or 175%, every 3D edge, frame and button is one pixel thick (two from 200%), drawn in screen pixels and anchored to the control's inside, so borders are even and there is no stray line between an edit box and its white. Pushbuttons paint their face under the edge. The classic close glyph grows with its button at any scale, the XP and Windows 7 captions no longer stripe at 150/175% (the enlarged skin sheets are now the exact inverse of the pixel mapping), and the mouse pointer is smooth at fractions.
Pictures follow the scale. The wallpaper preview in Display Properties, Imaging's picture and the Snipping Tool's capture (and its ink) are drawn at the size they have on the panel; saved snips are the capture as taken.
