The first release: the Windows 2000 shell on X11, with Explorer, Control Panel, Notepad, Calculator, Character Map, Imaging, Task Manager and the Snipping Tool; optional Windows XP and Windows 7 Basic looks; its own logon screen and display manager (w2kdm); Chicago95 for GTK and a Windows 2000 palette for Qt.
Install on a bare machine or VM, as root:

The attached tarball is a prebuilt install tree for Debian 13 (trixie) on amd64 (extract at /: tar xzf w2k-1.0.0-linux-amd64.tar.gz -C /); it needs the runtime packages install.sh lists, and the per-user setup (install.sh --user-only) for cursors and themes. Source archives are below.
