Please first use our online patching page to install: https://smashremix.net

If that causes issues, follow the instructions below:

Download and unzip the Smash Remix release file
Take your legally acquired ROM and drag it onto the appropriate icon for your operating system
For Windows users:
Drag your ROM onto windows-drag-here (or windows-drag-here.bat)
Read any dialog windows that pop-up
Find your patched ROMs in the output directory

For OSX users:
Apple has stronger restrictions on running unsigned apps from the Internet. You must perform an extra step before you can drag your ROM onto osx-drag-here. You can see more information here. I recommend the following:

For Linux users:
Due to changes in drag and drop behavior, you must instead launch the linux-patcher.sh script to manually select your ROM.

  • Updated idle animation to be uncompressed to reduce loading lag when switching to idle anim

Giga Bowser

  • Various moves have been slowed down and are more ‘telegraphed’ like a proper boss
  • Many animations updated and/or reworked
  • BThrow is weaker with less base knockback and less knockback growth
  • BThrow no longer makes opponents face away from stage
  • Updated DSmash and FTilt expressions

King Dedede

  • Waddle Doo beam damage reduced (3 → 2)
  • NSp absorb hitbox size increased and moved slightly forward
  • Fixed issue where ItemThrowAirSmashF didn’t use the correct animation

Lanky Kong

  • Removed black borders from CSS portrait

Marina

  • DSp absorbing King Dedede’s Gordo now grants more charges (2 → 3)
  • DSp absorbing Peppy’s Flashbang now grants more charges (1 → 2)
  • Fixed Marina’s last costume when using low-poly model
  • Fixed issue where Marina’s 1P team pose resulted in a crash

Mewtwo

CPU AI Changes

  • Added unique recovery options for most characters (only affects LVL 10 for vanilla characters)
  • Added condition checks to moves with special conditions (e.g. Yoshi won't try using NSP when the opponent is already trapped in an egg, Mewtwo won't DSP if the opponent is facing away from him, etc)
  • Added custom move range configurations for LVL 10 vanilla characters (they now better understand the range of their moves)
  • Added dash attack configurations to LVL 10 vanilla characters and all Remix characters
  • CPU’s will now steal teammate stocks on team battles when defeated
  • CPU’s with multiple double jumps will not wait for AirJump animation to end to use next jump
  • CPU’s now try fast falling more than once when in the air
  • CPU’s can now jump cancel and/or USmash or USp out of dash & run
  • CPU’s are aware they have limited options out of dash & run
  • LVL10 CPU’s movement prediction improved, especially when platforms come into play
  • LVL 10 CPU’s will no longer use aerial moves that cannot come out before they land
  • Fixed issue where CPU’s would use USp in the wrong direction when close to ledge
  • Other miscellaneous CPU AI changes

Item Switch

  • Now remembers frequency when all items are turned off
