This release only includes improvements and bug fixes in the setup program.
The ag.exe program itself is unchanged, apart from the version string.
- The setup script now adds an entry in the "Add / Remove Programs" list.
- This fixes the issue with winget, which did not list The Silver Searcher as installed after successfully installing it.
- This also allows uninstalling The Silver Searcher either using winget or using the Windows Control Panel.
- The setup script now detects ag.exe instances installed by Chocolatey or Scoop, and aborts the installation in this case.
It displays a message recommending to uninstall the other packages first, using their respective package managers.
This is done to prevent conflicts between older versions of ag.exe that may be earlier in the PATH.
The release now also includes two architecture-specific zip files, for use by Chocolatey, etc.
