FEATURES
The WIKI Template update:
- Every detail screen (Ship/Multitool/Freighter/Frigate/Pet) has been remade to allow for cataloguing even more details.
Ship parts, pet species and genus, multitool features, freighter sub-classes and much more can now be set for specific cards.
When first opening the detail page the system will try to fill in as many fields as it can. It isn't a lot but especially in the case of pets the info (like genus, rarity, ecosystem and biome) from the save file is used to fill in quite a few fields. The data that links the PetId with the genus name has been inferred from the data on nomanssky.fandom. - While the card description hasn't changed yet (There will be an option on what info to display in a later update) all the information you list will be used in the new template export feature.
- Each card can now be exported in a text format as a wiki template to be used on the nomanssky.fandom website. It also includes the option to add images to be included in the template generation. Note that these images will not be stored locally on your system. They will only be included in the generation of the template.
- When the images are set you can also use the 'Copy to folder' option. This will copy those images to a chosen folder and rename them in a unique format to ready them to be uploaded to the wiki. These new names will also be included in the template txt file in that same folder.
- The generator has been made in the image of the work of Lenni009's: 'Galactic Hub Wiki Page Creator'. But this doesn't mean that it is only meant for the Galactic Hub! The generator will adjust which data to use in the template according to the data provide by the user. If you happen to be in a GHub region it will include that in the template as well. All data about GHub regions have been taken from nomanssky.fandom. If you find anything that is wrong or missing let me know!
Because of the large amount of changes to the detail screens I've added the option to switch back to the old screen in case of major issues. You can do this by navigating from the dashboard to FoxTech > Settings and set 'Use Old Detail Screen' to true.
Keep in mind that this screen will eventually be phased out over time for the newer version.
This update introduces many points of potential failure. Please let me know if you find any issues and don't forget you can always use the previous version in case you don't like the current changes. ( You can also disable the update message in FoxTech > Settings and set 'Check App Version' to false.)
If you don't like the current changes, no matter the reason, let me know your thoughts on how to improve things on discord.
QUALITY OF LIFE
- The experimental address book has now been added to every detail screen. Allowing you to browse through a list of previous or recent addresses and let the system fill out the form for you.
Any changes you make in the detail form relating to locale (whether it is a new address or an update to an existing one) will automatically update the address book when saving your changes. This change will also be made for any linked card to that address. So if you change the planet name of an address then every card that has that address will have the planet name changed. - Due to popular request, I have added an option in the settings to enable the use of the default image during card creation.
When this is set to true you'll be able to click through the image tab. Allowing for quicker card creation in the case of just wanting to store an object. Keep in mind that an image can always be added later by editing the details of a card. If you want to enable this setting you'll have to navigate to Foxtech > Settings > Card and set 'Enable Default Image' to true.
BUGFIXES
- Fixed an issue where rewarded ships were being viewed as duplicate even though they are different. The system now takes the ship type into account along with the seed (which is always the same for the special ships) to determine uniqueness.
CHANGES
- Each hangar (Ship/Multitool/Freighter/Frigate/Pet) have been given a makeover to be more inline with the styling of the store page. But also to fit more objects on the limited screen space. The Filter is now hidden in the right side bar for a more 'even' look. It's quite the change so let me know if it's for the better or the worse!
- 'Advanced Ion Battery' and 'Oxygen Capsule' can now be purchased along with their alternatives at 'CHEMFUEL'.
- The iron merchant 'DeSter' now sells their signature 'Repair Kits' in exchange for 'Tainted Metal'.
- The settings screen has been reworked to allow for more options in the future and to be inline with the new styling.
- There is now a separate option to enable experimental features besides activating dev-mode. My reasoning is that it's nice to be able to participate in testing out new features without the temptation of what dev-mode offers.
- There is now an option in the settings to adjust the card animation delay when hovering over a registered card.
- An extra line of information has been added in case the user doesn't have an atlas pass. Prompting them to craft one in game.
- Updated styling of the card creation pages to be inline to the new styling.
- Block display changed from 20,000 to 16,000 as the later is the correct amount for PC users.
