This release fixes an issue that prevented YouTube videos from playing properly.
YouTube recently shut down all of the methods we previously used to fetch video streams, which caused both videos and live streams to stop working for nearly all users, including those signed into YouTube in settings. After urgent fixes, we have now migrated to YouTube’s new SABR protocol to restore playback.
YouTube changes frequently, so make sure to check for updates regularly to make sure everything keeps working smoothly.
