Monitoring Module Moves On
The monitoring module has been moved out of the Icinga Web core repository and is now maintained separately at icinga/icingaweb2-module-monitoring.
It enters maintenance mode and will only receive security fixes going forward. The recommended successor is Icinga DB Web.
For package-based installations, the monitoring module is not removed outright: it is shipped as a separate package icingaweb2-module-monitoring, which the icingaweb2 package depends on, so existing installations will continue to work after an upgrade without manual intervention.

PHP 8.2 Required, PHP 8.5 Supported
Icinga Web now requires PHP 8.2 or newer. PHP 8.5 is fully supported as well, so you can run the very latest PHP without any concerns.
Navigation Polish
The sidebar navigation has been improved in a couple of ways. Level-2 flyout menus now display their title when the sidebar is collapsed, so you always know which section you navigated into. The flyout animation has also been smoothed out for a more polished feel.
UI Improvements
Several small visual inconsistencies have been addressed. Disabled textareas now match the look of other disabled input fields. The Tactical Overview donut label gets a subtle opacity effect on hover. Input elements have a consistent fixed height across browsers. And a Safari-specific issue that generated a wrong tooltip for the user menu item in collapsed sidebar mode has been resolved.

Fixes
The browser's timezone information was silently lost in certain situations, causing time-sensitive displays to show incorrect times. This is now fixed. User roles are also logged during login in the debug log, making it easier to trace permission and access issues.
