Two guns, separate magazines and a cleaner VR HUD are now in the community installer.
- Six rounds per gun in arcade mode. Lower one gun to reload that hand; right B reloads both. Original mode retains shared native ammo/item handling.
- Floating ammo panels on both sides, with shared health above the left panel. The redundant original ammo/health HUD is hidden in VR; reload warnings, dialogue and continue prompts remain.
- Aiming dots start off on fresh installs. Press left Y to toggle both markers.
- Stronger default shot/reload haptics, with adjustable strength. These acknowledge input rather than confirmed hits.
- The installer still takes your downloaded Windows disc-image ZIP directly. Updates preserve saves and preferences and add missing new settings automatically.
Download HotD2VR-Setup-0.3.0-alpha.28.exe and select your original Windows game's ZIP/IMG/ISO, or update your existing HotD2VR destination. See INSTALL.md for setup, controls, rollback and troubleshooting. The installer is unsigned; compare its SHA-256 with SHA256SUMS.txt.
The installer embeds the exact production DLL approved in the maintainer's latest headset play-test. Local validation: 2,209 mod checks, native combat replay, 85 installer lifecycle checks, six launcher profile checks and real disc-ZIP import. GitHub Windows CI also verifies the exported source and installer.
This remains an alpha. Full campaign/death/continue, new-PC setup and wider hardware/runtime coverage need community play-testing. Native gameplay speed is preserved; unlocked frame rate and a flat-screen arcade-room mode remain future work.
No original game files, disc image, private HD texture sample or third-party runtime binaries are bundled. Setup downloads checksum-verified runtime dependencies separately. Earlier alpha installers remain available for rollback.
