A beta toward the next stable release: cleaner gap sources, ids you can edit for books and music, and a report that takes a fraction of the memory and disk it did.
Gap sources
- Prune gaps from deleted items, a new scheduled task. When a movie, series, collection, artist or author leaves your library, it stops being the source of a gap: a gap it was the only source of is removed, and one with other sources moves to the next. It has no default schedule, so run it from the scheduled tasks page or give it one. It waits for a running scan to finish, and a second scan now waits for the first instead of running alongside it.
- Recommendation groups link to the owned title they came from.
Books and music ids
- Books get an OpenLibrary id field, and albums and artists a Discogs id field, in the metadata editor, with a link on the item's page. The book and music sources match on these ids, so a book or album the plugin could not match can now be fixed by hand.
- Install a dedicated OpenLibrary or Discogs plugin later and it takes over: this plugin's field and link step aside.
Links
- A gap's links are built from its ids when the report loads, rather than stored with it. A TheTVDB, JustWatch or Trakt plugin you install later adds its links to every gap, with no rescan.
- A Trakt link appears on movies and series when the Trakt sources are on, built from the IMDb id the way the Trakt plugin builds it.
Performance
On a library with about 83,000 gaps:
- Memory: about 1.6 GB down to about 200 MB.
- Disk: 245 MB down to 131 MB.
- Loading: about half the time.
- Writing: during a scan, a where-to-watch lookup, or a bulk re-check, the report is written every couple of minutes (and whenever a source finishes) instead of every few seconds.
Upgrading
- Your existing report converts on first load; nothing is lost.
- A report saved by this version cannot be read by an earlier one. If you go back to an earlier version, the report shows empty until its next scan.
