One-time alarms and reminders on a particular day. alarm_set and reminder_set take today,
tomorrow or a date like 2026-09-29 in days, and go off once, at that time on that day. A time
already gone by is refused. Turned back on after its day, a dated one-off becomes a plain one-time
alarm again.

Fixes from a code review:

  • The phone could let a call in while another was starting, leaving one ringing that nobody could answer.
  • Renaming the device from the setup page restarts the daemon instead of rebooting, so an update still on trial is not rolled back.
  • Pressing Install twice no longer resets Home Assistant's progress bar during the download.
  • An MP3 announcement is capped in size when it is decoded, not just when it is downloaded.
  • The voice recordings folder is private, including one made by an older version.
  • The speaker finishes a short write to the sound card instead of dropping the rest.
  • A hung echo-cancel helper is replaced after a second instead of stalling the microphone.
  • A damaged wake-word model can no longer crash the daemon.
  • The camera stream in Home Assistant could freeze when a renewal came in just as it was ending.
  • A screen you switch off during the night schedule stays off when the night ends.
  • Right after a pause, Music Assistant's page shows the play button straight away, and a track with no name no longer shows an old song.
  • The slideshow only picks JPEG and PNG, the formats it can show.
  • Settings, "Certificate checks": now says it covers downloads only. Updates are always checked.
  • The music strip: the lower-right corner of Next skips instead of opening the full page, and the strip does not take taps while the sunrise light is up.
  • The Show 8 draws the now-playing page's line, the corner date and the status line at its own size.

Tooling. A version with a suffix (like -rc.1) is always published as a prerelease. install-show.py --dry-run changes nothing. The Dot installer stops if the backup it is about to keep is already a
TECHO5 image.

Not yet run on a real device when this was published.
