The screen understands German. Its voice triggers matched English words only, so on a German Assist pipeline the assistant answered normally but the screen sat on the clock: "Wie ist das Wetter?" never brought up the forecast, and because the Radar button lives on that page, the rain map could not be reached by voice at all. Weather, the rain map, going home and showing a camera all take German words now, and the Spot's copies of those lists are gone - both screens decide from one place, so they cannot drift apart again.
Thanks to @VolkerSchneider89, who found it on a real German setup and sent the fix.
Matching every language at once is a stopgap; tables keyed off the pipeline's language are the way out of it, and that is still to come.
This release also carries the Echo Show 5 1st gen boot image, techo5-boot-checkers-v0.7.9.img, so a 1st gen install takes no extra flags.
