What's New
-
Removed the title from the home page, providing a more immersive experience.
-
When running Harden System Security unelevated and try to navigate to a page that requires elevation, after accepting the elevation prompt, you will no longer be taken to the home page, instead the app will automatically navigate to the same page you were trying to access before the elevation prompt, improving user experience and saving time.
-
The description and guide button in all of the pages now have an adaptive and responsive design; when the width of the window gets small, they will no longer be displayed inline and instead will become available via a dedicated access point next to the page title where you can click/tap on to view them in a flyout. The flyout doesn't push the main page content down. This improves the overall design of the user interface by making use of the available spaces better.
-
The titles of the pages no longer have a fixed size, instead they will change style depending on the app window's width, making it easier to use the app in tight screen sizes.
-
Added a new policy to Microsoft Defender category to set the maximum time an IP address is blocked by Brute-Force Protection to the maximum possible value.
-
Added a lot of detections for applied policies, useful for many causes but especially for Intune applied policies.
-
Reduced empty spaces around many exterior elements of pages.
-
The option in the app settings that makes the ListView headers sticky is off by default now.

Fixed an incompatibility with Nvidia drivers. In the Microsoft Defender category, there is an item that offers applying exploit protections to the "HardenSystemSecurity.exe" which is the main process of the application. In one of the previous versions, 2 new exploit protections named "MicrosoftSignedOnly" and "AllowStoreSignedBinaries" were added to the list, however Nvidia driver causes compatibility issues because it tries to load into the app's process which is something it isn't supposed to do, however as users reported on GitHub, this is causing inconvenience so in this version those 2 exploit protections are no longer applied when you apply exploit protections to Harden System Security in the Microsoft Defender category. Please see these GitHub issues for more info regarding this change: #913 - #911
