What's New

  • Updated dependencies to the latest versions.

  • Improved the search experience when searching for details of packaged apps in the Supplemental and Deny policy creation pages: now many more properties for each app are included during the search, helping you find the app you are looking for easier and faster.

  • Minor user experience improvements in the MDE Advanced Hunting and Event logs pages.

  • In the Supplemental and Deny policy creation pages, the Packaged Apps sections are now available even if the AppControl Manager is not running as administrator, the only difference is that when running as admin, all apps available on the system is shown but when running as standard/unelevated user, only apps installed for the current user will be shown.

  • The policies library on the sidebar can now handle extremely large policy files and there is now a progress ring displayed when it's busy processing your large policies.

  • System Information page is now more resilient when encountering deployed policy files in inaccessible locations and handles them gracefully.

  • Added a new button to the app's toolbar which allows you to easily relaunch the app with different privileges. If running as Administrator, pressing this button will launch the app with limited privileges and if running with limited privileges, pressing this button will relaunch the app with Administrator privileges.

  • Finished adding Japanese language support. Thanks to the community members on GitHub.

  • In the Event Logs and MDE Advanced Hunting pages, the data are now sorted by default based on time. Of course you can sort the data via different properties and in different orders again by clicking or tapping on column headers. This is to make it easier and faster to retrieve and view the newest and latest data when you press the "Scan" buttons in the aforementioned pages. Previously before this update, the data had no particular order initially by default. This change only affects the display of the data on the User Interface (UI) and has no effect on the actual content of the data, so this is merely a User Experience (UX) improvement.

  • Improved searching and sorting data in various pages.
