HTND v2.19.0 Release Notes - MANDATORY UPDATE
Important: consensus changes. Two network rule changes activate at DAA score 258,000,000 on mainnet (early hours of November 30th 2027). Upgrade before they take effect, or you will be disconnected from the network.
Summary of changes
-
Dev-fee removal: Coinbase rewards no longer include the on-chain dev-fee output. Miners receive the full merge-set reward. Historical outputs are unchanged.
-
ML-DSA-44 signatures: Post-quantum ML-DSA-44 signature operations are enabled.
Fixes and improvements
- Mempool: Transactions with P2SH inputs now count ML-DSA signature operations correctly, so over-limit transactions are rejected.
- Pruning-point sync (IBD): Nodes now reject malformed pruning-point proofs, including parentless headers and proofs without enough blue work.
- RPC clients: Notification subscriptions are restored after a node restart or reconnect, so stratum bridges and miners keep receiving block templates.
- Slow RPC clients: Disconnecting a slow client no longer risks freezing the node.
- Startup logs: Memory settings (GOMEMLIMIT, GOGC, and the Pebble cache) are logged with their source, and also written to htnd.log.
- Peer management: The hardcoded permanent IP bans were removed, so peers are no longer blocked by that list.-
- MPTCP is disabled.
- Various code vulnerabilities in edge cases are closed.
- Janitorial work tidying up block version 11 source tree files.
