Features
- Open a drawing in the already-running editor: double-clicking a file, or opening one from the OS, now switches to it if it is already open and otherwise loads it into the running instance as a new tab, instead of launching a second copy of the application.
EXPORTPDF <path>(andEXPORT <path>) export straight to a file with no save dialog — both a scriptable entry point and the workaround for systems where the native save dialog cannot open (#369).
Fixes
- Text and dimensions appear in PDF and print export again: text became SDF-only and the CPU exporter dropped every glyph, so dimension text and standalone TEXT/MTEXT were missing from exported PDFs; the exporter now reconstructs the glyphs as vector strokes and fills (#385).
- PDF and print export no longer distort drawings at UTM-scale coordinates — geometry, hatch fills and text are kept at full precision until the page offset cancels them, instead of being snapped to a coarse grid; text in a paper-space viewport is projected onto the sheet at its correct position.
- PDF export never fails silently: when the save dialog cannot open (for example a missing or broken desktop portal on Linux) the command now reports it and points at
EXPORTPDF <path>(#369). - MATCHPROP now copies the text style and height between TEXT and MTEXT objects, so matching one text object to another actually changes it (#361).
- Updating a plugin from the Plugin Manager works even when the current version is loaded: the resident library is moved aside rather than failing to overwrite a locked binary (#391).
- Linux: the taskbar / dock button now shows the application icon — the window advertises the application id its desktop file is installed under.
- The welcome page's own buttons (About, Donate, Send Feedback, …) work again (#388, #389).
- MTEXT: a top-aligned line is anchored by the ink it actually draws.
- SOLID fills stay in place on UTM-scale drawings.
- Tolerance: the feature control frame is drawn correctly.
- Geometry far off the drawing plane is shown instead of being clipped away.
Performance
- Editing touches only the entities that changed: a delta journal, an incremental spatial index and a per-edit splice of the resident wire set replace the whole-document rebuild, and move / edit patches the GPU wire buffer in place — large drawings stay responsive during edits and undo.
- Undo records per-entity deltas instead of cloning the entire document.
Chore
- acadrust now builds from the OpenAEC-Foundation/acadifc fork.
