Rooted stream boost
Removes mlockall from the rooted session boost (#75). It pinned hundreds of MB, and the following NDL load left the TV near OOM until the watchdog rebooted the set. TVs that are not rooted never took this path.
Input, video, and audio
From the current branch, together with the items above:
- On-screen keyboard hold matches Artemis for Home and function keys
- DualSense USB hidraw effects (light bar, player LED, mic LED, adaptive triggers)
- A pad already connected at launch is no longer announced twice (
gcmap=0, no second open onCONTROLLERDEVICEADDED) - HEVC sliced frames stay off unless enabled; AV1 does not inherit that slice count in the SDP
- Opus silence fill so an eARC receiver does not fall back to mono when the host goes quiet
- SDL mapping for the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C 2.4G dongle (
2dc8:310a) - Nintendo / 8BitDo Bluetooth rumble over Switch Input - Incorporates @IgorLomba's PR #78:
- Stop ignoring Nintendo VID
0x057eover Bluetooth, so Switch-mode pads (including 8BitDo clones) use SDL HIDAPI for rumble instead ofhid-nintendo - Settings → Input → Gamepad test: list connected pads and test rumble on the TV, with no host involved
- Log the first rumble request and the first failure, and show the Input tag on the log overlay
The dongle mapping does not by itself start button reports. On this TV's xpad, that still needs a root helper, which is not part of this package and does not run on a TV without root.
Install
Homebrew Channel or the .ipk on this release. Updating an existing install keeps your hosts and settings.
