Gentle AI v4.1.1 is a hotfix release with the same code as v4.1.0. The first v4.1.0 tag failed its release preflight before anything was published and was then cut again on the fixed commit. The Go module proxy and checksum database had already recorded the first v4.1.0 commit, so a go install that downloads v4.1.0 straight from GitHub (for example with GOPROXY=direct) fails checksum verification. v4.1.1 publishes the released commit under a version that every download path resolves to the same bytes. The provider contract stays at 1.3.0.

No breaking changes are declared for v4.1.1. The module path stays at /v4, the provider contract stays at 1.3.0, and no review CLI flag changed. The breaking changes declared for v4.1.0 still apply to anyone upgrading from v4.0.x.
Upgrade now
brew upgrade gentle-ai
gentle-ai syncWindows and other source installs:
go install github.com/gentleman-programming/gentle-ai/v4/cmd/gentle-ai@v4.1.1
gentle-ai syncRun gentle-ai sync after upgrading so managed agent, reviewer, and runtime assets match the installed binary. Source installs should use @v4.1.1 rather than @v4.1.0.
What was fixed
One checksum for the v4.1 release
The first v4.1.0 tag pointed at cbdbe97d1, whose go.mod was not tidy, so the release preflight stopped before publication. After the fix, the tag was deleted and cut again at 898d3976e. In the meantime proxy.golang.org and sum.golang.org had recorded v4.1.0 as cbdbe97d1, and those records are permanent. Installs through the default Go proxy still work, because they receive the recorded source, which differs only by one // indirect marker in go.mod. Installs that download from GitHub directly fail with checksum mismatch. v4.1.1 tags the released commit under a new version, so the proxy, the checksum database, GitHub, and the signed archives all agree.
Included work: #5474 (issue #5473).
Numbers
0 non-merge commits, 0 merged pull requests, and 0 unique GitHub PR authors since v4.1.0. v4.1.1 re-tags the v4.1.0 release commit.
Install
brew install Gentleman-Programming/tap/gentle-aior
go install github.com/gentleman-programming/gentle-ai/v4/cmd/gentle-ai@v4.1.1Windows remains supported through the Go installation path, which needs Go 1.25.10 or newer. Official Windows binary archives and Scoop publication remain unavailable; Windows upgrades fail closed to Go-based guidance rather than downloading unsigned binaries. The scripts/install.sh and scripts/install.ps1 installers resolve the latest release tag and derive the /v4 module path from it.
Signed platform archives below: linux_amd64, linux_arm64, darwin_amd64, darwin_arm64, with checksums.txt and its minisign signature.
