Add-ons arrive. The launcher stays small, and everything extra is now its own little app that shows up on Home as a card, only if you install it. Browse them all, with screenshots: cleanyour.tv/addons.
Since v2.6.0: 248 TV models (from 213), 72 brands (from 63), 25 languages, 230 pull requests from 122 people. No binaries, as always: build the launcher with launcher/build-and-install.sh.
Add-ons (new, in addons/)
Eleven so far, each a separate app with its own permissions listed up front:
- Weather, with an optional 7-day forecast, humidity and wind
- Prayer Times
- Photo screensaver and Photo Prints: your own pictures on the TV
- TV Hub: one live-TV guide for playlists, Dispatcharr and HDHomeRun
- Headphones: Bluetooth audio with a quiet guard
- Sleep Timer: standby after 15–120 minutes, with a one-minute warning
- Brightness: dim below the TV's minimum, with a scheduled warm night mode
- TV Static: an off-the-air moment each time the screen turns on
- Frigate Glance and Capacity Stats
Launcher (2.7)
All new options are off by default; nothing changes unless a theme or config turns it on.
- Wallpapers by time of day (
wallpaper_moods) and wallpaper collections in themes - Cinematic shelf options: let the wallpaper show through, white focus, hide the dots
- Fading rows under the clock, a green Wi-Fi icon while online, Reorder apps in the top-menu gear
- Game controllers pass straight through while connected
- Fixes: the VPN badge on the network pill (Ethernet + VPN), a crash in quick settings on Android 8.0, the stock-Home redirect now leaves HDMI alone, key helpers survive a reboot on TCL
Themes
Eight now: new ruska (a Finnish autumn dusk, drawn in code) and sweden (three Wikimedia Commons photos behind a glass dock), alongside aurora, glass, scenes, six-columns, default and the seasonal dussehra.
Safety
- The tools refuse to disable core Android packages (no override), after a report of a stick that stopped booting (#884)
- The Home guard ignores factory-test home screens; CVTE boards keep their stock launcher unless a tested list says otherwise
- Notes for firmware that turns apps back on at every boot (Acer R4G) and a check for it in the prompt
