Important note
The explicit git+https:// form is intentional and avoids requiring GitHub SSH keys or an SSH agent. If an external plugin catalog still generates the old github: shorthand, use the command above directly until that catalog refreshes. HTTPS access can still be affected by the user's network, proxy, or Git configuration.
