Prior-Art & Reuse Lens and Reporting Discipline
v2.8.7 adds evidence-gathering discipline to approach selection and tightens output and escalation contracts.
Changes
- Prior-Art & Reuse Lens (
brainstorming): before recommending approaches that introduce a new mechanism, protocol, artifact shape, or nontrivial interaction pattern, check proven external practice under a behavior-triggered protocol — bounded sources, index-first summaries, cited anchor per claim.Adopt verbatim / Adapt with reason / Reject with reason / Degradedstates bind every tailoring and rejection to a named project constraint instead of taste; hosts without web/search tooling mark the external basis unknown and continue on internal evidence. - Known Prior Art line (
first-principles-review): optional line in the Five-Line Review when the direction depends on a new mechanism or an unfamiliar domain. - Negative-space reporting (
verification-before-completion): receipts report what was done, verified, risked, and blocked; obvious trade-off explanations and lists of actions not taken stay silent. - Ask with recommendation (
brainstormingRole And Authority Contract): user-owned questions must attach a recommended option and its reason. - Subagent escalation triplet (
subagent-driven-development): BLOCKED / NEEDS_CONTEXT handbacks return the specific question or blocker plus gathered evidence plus candidate options considered.
