Quick Install In The Fast-Track Playbooks
- Promoted installation to the first section of both the English
Aegis Fast-Track Playbookand the ChineseAegis 速通秘籍. - Added one copy-and-paste prompt that asks the user's AI coding agent to
identify the current host, follow the correct global installation guide,
restart or reload the host when needed, and run complete-install
verification from the installed method-pack root. - Defined the complete-install evidence explicitly: the doctor JSON must report
"ok": true,"workspaceSupport": "available", and
"configStatus": "configured", with discovery-root and skill-name-prefix
checks when the host guide requires them. - Clarified that copy-only or skills-only discovery can expose Aegis methods
without proving complete project workspace support. - Added direct manual-install entrypoints for Codex, OpenCode, Claude Code, and
the full host compatibility matrix, plus the normalupdate Aegis/
aegis:updatefollow-up path.
Documentation Contract Coverage
- Renumbered both playbooks so installation precedes the first-use guide,
lightweight operating model, engineering moats, project workspace,
capability map, controls, trigger diagnosis, and deeper references. - Updated the internal workspace anchor after the section move.
- Added workflow-quality regression checks that keep quick install first,
preserve the complete-install JSON evidence, and distinguish skills-only
discovery from complete installation.
Verification
- Fresh checks passed:
bash scripts/bump-version.sh 2.4.5,
bash scripts/bump-version.sh --check,
bash scripts/bump-version.sh --audit,
bash tests/e2e/workflow-quality-check.sh,
bash tests/e2e/layer1-fast-check.sh --host-profile none,
bash tests/e2e/run-all.sh --full --host-profile fast, and
git diff --check. - The final full/fast run passed all four suites. Layer 1 passed
39/39,
including Codex automatic and explicit skill-triggering smoke, OpenCode base
coverage, and Codex plugin-sync regression. - The current Codex Desktop installation does not include
codex-windows-sandbox-setup.exe. A workspace-write smoke attempt therefore
reached the correctbrainstormingroute but could not read the skill file.
The final release run used the workingcodex.exewith
-s danger-full-access; log readback confirmed successful reads of both
using-aegisandbrainstorming, not parser-only load markers.
Release Surface
- Bumped all declared package and host manifest versions from
2.4.4to
2.4.5. - This release remains
Aegis Method Pack (runtime-ready), preserves
multi-host plugin-installable distribution, and does not add authoritative
GateDecision,PolicySnapshot, or completion authority.
