v2.0.4 (2026-06-04)
Discovery-Shape Readback For Compatibility Exposures
- Extended
scripts/aegis-doctor.pyso discovery-root checks now classify the
expected discovery shape instead of only proving that a path exists. - Added explicit readback for canonical method-pack discovery roots versus
direct-child compatibility exposures, including clear text and JSON fields
forexpectedDiscoveryShape,discoveryShapeStatus, and
compatibilityExposureStatus. - Hardened stale-copy detection so compatibility exposures that drift from the
canonicalskills/tree now fail structural verification instead of being
silently treated as current.
Host Update Registry Separation Of Transport And Visibility
- Extended
scripts/aegis-update.pyso host registrations can store a
dedicateddiscoveryShapealongsidesyncMode. - Kept transport semantics and host-visibility semantics separate:
syncMode
now describes how Aegis reaches the host surface, whilediscoveryShape
describes what the host must see there. - Added copy-mode pruning so stale copied Aegis skill directories are removed
when refreshing direct-child compatibility exposures from the canonical
method-pack tree.
Trigger And Host Baseline Clarifications
- Updated trigger-health and host-compatibility current docs with a compact
trigger-family vocabulary for diagnostic use without creating a new owner
layer. - Clarified in known limitations and host docs that direct-child compatibility
exposures are generated views from the canonicalskills/tree, not a second
editable source of truth. - Recorded the CC GUI direct-child discovery requirement more explicitly in the
release-facing host guidance and verification policy.
Completion Boundary Wording Tightening
- Compressed the
verification-before-completionTDD completion boundary into
a shorter, more conservative form. - Clarified that completion judgment should match the claim to the highest
available explicit boundary while keeping any higher open boundary visible. - Kept the change at the wording and contract level without changing Aegis
completion authority boundaries.
Verification Coverage Expansion
- Expanded
tests/e2e/aegis-doctor-check.shto cover canonical discovery
roots, direct-child compatibility exposures, and stale-copy rejection. - Added helper coverage for updater discovery-shape registration, copy-mode
doctor invocation, stale-skill pruning, and discovery-shape defaults. - Extended install and CC GUI host boundary checks so the new structural
discovery semantics stay release-visible.
Version
- Bumped all declared plugin, marketplace, package, and extension manifests to
2.0.4.
