v1.8.5 (2026-05-29)
Micro-Slice Artifact Budget
- Added the
Micro-Slice Artifact Budgetto the workflow quality baseline so
long-running workstreams do not create a durable plan or spec for every tiny
execution slice. - Defined the
Planless Slice Lanefor micro-slices that are already owned by
an existing parent spec or parent plan. - Added the compact
Slice Cardshape for micro-slices: goal, parent
plan/spec, files, boundary, verification, and stop condition. - Kept escalation back to durable plan/spec artifacts only for new owner,
contract, schema, public API, architecture boundary, migration, persistence,
security/permission, distribution/release, or unclear verification surfaces.
Workflow Integration
- Updated
writing-plansso tiny slices under an existing parent plan/spec do
not save a new plan and instead record aSlice Card. - Updated
long-task-continuationso micro-slices reuse the parent plan and
update checkpoint, evidence, and drift state instead of creating per-slice
plan/spec files. - Updated the process baseline so the artifact budget becomes part of Aegis's
long-task governance discipline without expanding the hot path or adding
runtime authority.
Workflow Quality Coverage
- Extended
tests/e2e/workflow-quality-check.shto lock the micro-slice
artifact budget into the workflow-quality baseline, process baseline,
planning skill, and long-task continuation skill.
Version
- Bumped all declared plugin, marketplace, package, and extension manifests to
1.8.5.
