github Gadge64/WWFNoMercyRecomp v0.2.1
0.2.1: Steam Deck / Linux with mods (unofficial)

Unofficial fork of jessetbh's WWF No Mercy: Recompiled. All credit for the recompilation itself goes to jessetbh and the N64Recomp / N64ModernRuntime / RT64 authors.

The ROM is not included. You need your own WWF No Mercy (USA) ROM (the only supported version is USA Rev 1, SHA1 91CEE3D096F4A76644D8B35B9AEAD6448909ABD1).

New in 0.2.1

  • Steam Deck / Linux build with every 0.2.0 feature: 60/90/120 fps, the Resolution option, and mods and texture packs.
  • On Linux, the Framerate option now lists only the rates your display supports.
  • The Linux launcher is now called WWFNoMercy, so that's the name Steam shows.
  • Windows: same as 0.2.0 apart from the version number. No need to update if 0.2.0 works for you.

See 0.2.0 for the full feature list and the mods guide.

Steam Deck / Linux

  1. In Desktop Mode, extract NoMercyRecompiled-0.2.1-SteamDeck.zip somewhere permanent, e.g. ~/Games/.
  2. Copy your ROM next to WWFNoMercy and rename it nomercy.z64.
  3. Steam → Games → Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library → Browse, set the filter to All Files, pick WWFNoMercy.
  4. Switch to Gaming Mode and launch it from your Library. Always launch it from Steam, never from Desktop Mode. If the buttons are wrong: Controller Settings → Gamepad layout.

Mods go in the modpacks folder inside the game folder (see modpacks/HOW-TO-ADD-MODS.txt). Saves and settings are now kept in the game folder too. Coming from the 60Hz Edition 1 Deck build? Your save is in ~/.config/NoMercyRecompiled/; copy that folder's contents into the new game folder to keep it.

Windows

  1. Extract NoMercyRecompiled-0.2.1-Windows.zip.
  2. Run NoMercyRecompiled.exe and pick your ROM when asked.

Portable: portable.txt keeps settings and saves inside the folder (delete it to use AppData instead).

Thanks
