github FrizzleM/SideInstaller v1.5.3

Strengthened the Anisette servers by adding new ones that use a Windows protocol. Also improved LocalDevVPN compatibility.

Fixed

  • Switching between anisette servers no longer breaks sign-in. SideInstaller now keeps a separate anisette identity for each kind of server (Android, Windows, Mac). If a server goes down, sign-in can move to another kind without making a new identity and asking for your verification code again.

Changed

  • LocalDevVPN's auto launch now occurs only when it is needed, rather than on the app's launch.
  • New sign-ins start on a Windows anisette server ("jkcoxson (Windows ADI)"). If you have signed in before, SideInstaller stays on the server you used and keeps your saved sign-in. If that server fails, the Windows servers are tried next. "StikStore (Windows ADI)" has been added to the list.
  • The Mac anisette servers are supported but tried last. Through "jkcoxson" and "SideStore (New)", Apple has asked accounts that have trusted devices for a code by text and then refused to send it.
  • Apple refusing one kind of device no longer ends sign-in. If Apple refuses the Mac or the Windows PC twice (HTTP 503), SideInstaller tries the servers that sign in as the other one.
  • The anisette server now decides which device SideInstaller signs in as, when the server names its own device. Servers that still name the old Mac, which Apple refuses, get the Windows PC instead.
  • Sign-in reports the same device from start to finish, including the verification-code requests. If Apple turns those away, they are sent again as a Mac.
