What's new:
First of all thanks to Brick, davidlasmurias, Glo, paintdaddysupreme and Quesozapatos5000 (and also all the other people i'm forgetting for sure, sorry!) for their feedbacks!
- New Game Studio: build your own custom profiles, actions and display tiles from scratch, for games (or apps) that don't have a ready-made profile. This is still EXPERIMENTAL and i probably will make a video guide to use it, but i have first to finalize a couple things. This is a big BIG feature and it might proceed with uneven progresses over time.
- Screen readings: point a rectangle at a bar, gauge or indicator on screen and turn it into a value a key can react to — same reading tool used by the regular screen-reading key action, now reusable across your own actions.
- Game/mod links: read live data straight out of the game itself instead of the screen, when a link is available — including a generic link for Unity-based games (via a small companion mod) and full flight telemetry for Kerbal Space Program (through Telemachus).
- Elements and layout editor: compose a tile out of reusable pieces (text, icons, bars, gauges) and arrange them visually, with snapping and stacking order.
- Categories and ready-made templates to help you get started faster.
- Any display key can now use an emoji as its picture. In the key's settings, next to "Load image…", pick "Emoji as image…", search the emoji you want and it becomes the key's image — whatever the key actually does. Works on the DisplayPad and on the Everest Max's numpad display keys.
- New Kerbal Space Program dedicated profile
- The Makalu's lighting can now switch off while you're away. Turn on "Turn off backlight when idle" on the Makalu's Lighting tab and set how many seconds of no mouse activity to wait — the lighting comes straight back the moment you move the mouse.
- Everest Max: new "Display brightness" slider, right under the keyboard's brightness, for the Display Dial's screen and the numpad's display keys. Turn on "Sync brightness" to have the displays follow the keyboard's brightness automatically — also when you change it with the Display Dial's knob. The setting is saved per profile.
- K2 can now update itself in place: when a new version is available, it downloads and installs it automatically without having to run the installer by hand again.
What's fixed:
- The Display Dial's clock now stays in sync with your PC instead of slowly drifting minutes behind. It also gets set as soon as K2 connects and whenever the dock is plugged back in.
- The Display Dial's screensaver now starts as expected. It could stay off for good when the "turn off after" timer was left at zero, even with the screensaver switched on and its own timer set.
- Changing the Everest Max's lighting brightness with the Display Dial's knob now updates K2 too, so the brightness shown in the app always matches the keyboard. This also fixes an occasional K2 crash, including when the dial opened its brightness page.
- Smoother Everest Max startup. Typing while K2 is starting no longer freezes the keyboard or repeats the last key, and the lighting no longer flickers when the keyboard is already showing your effect.
- The Everest Max now recovers on its own if it briefly disconnects (for example after a USB hub reset): K2 reconnects and restores your lighting, and picking an effect no longer shows an error.
- Fixed a Game Studio bug where reopening a key already linked to one of your custom actions could show it under the wrong game, with an empty entry appearing in the actions browser.
