What's new in Meld 0.9.2

This is a major update that brings Meld up to date with six months of upstream improvements, alongside Meld-exclusive fixes and refinements.

🎵 Better playback

• New playback engine (InnerTubeX) — smarter client selection means fewer "Playback failed" errors and faster song starts
• Fixed songs stopping after ~30 seconds
• Fixed uploaded and restricted tracks not playing
• Improved crossfade behavior between songs
• Shuffle no longer picks the same song twice in a row

🎙️ Podcasts

• Full podcast support with channels, new episodes, and subscriptions
• Save and restore your playback position on podcast episodes
• Podcasts work even when not logged in

😴 Sleep timer

• Completely redesigned sleep timer with scheduling support
• Smart options: finish current song, fade out volume gradually
• Set an automatic timer that activates at a scheduled time

🎤 Lyrics

• Brand new lyrics pipeline — faster, more accurate
• Line-synced lyrics pulled directly from YouTube Music
• Copy all lyrics with one tap
• Musixmatch removed (it was returning incorrect lyrics for most songs)

🔍 Search & library

• Play music directly from URLs pasted in the search bar
• Search for user profiles
• Playlist range selection — select multiple songs at once
• Songs already in a playlist are now highlighted when adding
• Fixed ghost adds on playlists

📻 Android Auto

• Reorderable sections — customize what you see first
