FLAPPY BIRD | Version 1.5 Beta 2
It’s been a few months, but the flight continues! Balancing
development with a full-time career is a challenge, but I’ve
been chipping away at some major refinements and new features haha!
Thank you for your patience—here is what’s new in Beta 2:
[ ENGINE & STABILITY ]
- Resolved three critical exceptions to prevent crashes on
various hardware configurations. - Optimized rendering for Google Pixel (Tensor) devices to
eliminate persistent graphical artifacts. - Core library dependencies updated for improved performance.
[ MEDAL SYSTEM OVERHAUL ]
- Corrected logic for Medal distribution; rewards now trigger
accurately upon reaching milestones. - Fixed Medal positioning within the end-of-run dialog.
- Added a new 'Shine Twinkle' animation to all Medals.
[ STORM MODE ENHANCEMENTS ]
- Re-engineered Lightning mechanics: Strikes now hit the bird and occur at
specific score intervals (e.g., Level 11). - Introduced dynamic Smoke particles when the bird is struck.
- Added 'Electrical Interference' visual effects to pipes
following a strike in late game.
