What's New in v1.15.0
You can now install OpenSpec without Node.js, using one command, and openspec update can now show what it would change before changing anything.
New
- Standalone install - Install OpenSpec with one command and no Node.js:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fission-AI/OpenSpec/main/scripts/binary/install.sh | shon macOS and Linux, orirm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fission-AI/OpenSpec/main/scripts/binary/install.ps1 | iexon Windows. Every release now ships binaries for macOS, Linux (glibc and musl) and Windows on x64 and arm64, withSHA256SUMS. npm and the other package managers keep working as before. openspec update --dry-run- Reports the files an update would add, change or delete without writing anything; add--jsonfor machine-readable output.
Improved
- Faster
--jsoncommands -status,instructions,new change, templates, validateandschemano longer load the spinner package when run with--json, so they start a little faster. Output is unchanged. openspec feedback- Filed issues now match the bug form, and the manual-submission link opens the bug form with your message, version and environment filled in.
Fixed
openspec new change- The progress line now names the schema the change is actually created with, instead of always sayingspec-driven./opsx:verify- A REMOVED requirement is matched to its baseline by its exact name, so a similarly named replacement is no longer mistaken for it.
