3.9.7 – Mute on the first click
@nickj2014 reported that clicking the speaker icon on a tab playing audio did not mute it but stretched the URL bar to its full width instead, and only a second click actually muted the tab. @snkiz confirmed it goes back to at least 3.9.4. The culprit was the rule that widens the URL bar on focus: it listened for focus anywhere in the toolbox, tab strip included. The audio button takes focus on mousedown, so the URL bar grew, the tab strip shrank under the cursor, and by the time the mouse button came up the speaker icon had moved away. The second click worked only because the bar was already wide and nothing moved anymore.
Fixed
- Muting a tab works on the first click again. The URL bar now widens only when focus is inside the nav-bar, so buttons in the tab strip no longer set it off. (#68, reported by @nickj2014)
Notes
- The config comment for
--uc-extensions-button-rightnow states what #67 settled: pinned beside the hamburger is the tested layout,0leaves the puzzle button where Firefox puts it and is best effort. - Only
userChrome.csschanged.userContent.cssjust carries the new version number, no need to copy it again.
In my defence, the URL bar only wanted to help. It just had terrible timing.
