3.9.2 – Room at the edge
@NeroWolfe75 asked for a way to hand the window controls' space back to the tabs. If you close and resize windows with the keyboard anyway, minimise, maximise and close are three buttons you never click, sitting on the most valuable stretch of a one-line toolbar.
New
--uc-hide-window-buttonshides the window controls on Windows and Linux (1= hide,0= show, default0). The hamburger and the pinned extensions button slide to the right edge and the tabs take the rest. Close withCtrl+Shift+WorAlt+F4, maximise by double-clicking the drag space. In fullscreen the reveal loses its exit button too,F11still leaves. macOS keeps its traffic lights. Notes
- Only
userChrome.csschanged.userContent.cssjust carries the new version number, no need to copy it again. - macOS is untested for now, I no longer have a Mac to test on. It is still supported, and reports from Mac users are welcome.
- Tested on Firefox 157 on Windows and Fedora (GNOME) with
browser.nova.enabledset totrue.
