3.8.3 – The rest of the palette
The config comment at the top of userChrome.css said to change five values to retheme FoxOne. Issue #50 took it at its word, set everything to neon green, and found plenty that stayed orange: the about: pages, the new tab page, the hovered tab title. Nothing there is broken. FoxOne simply keeps its colours in more places than the comment admitted, and userContent.css can't read userChrome.css's variables, because Firefox loads the two files into separate documents. This release makes the comment honest and fixes the one spot that really ignored the palette.
Changed
- The config comment in
userChrome.css, the PALETTE comment inuserContent.cssand the customisation docs now list everything a retheme has to touch: the palette copy inuserContent.css, the separate tab hover colour (--uc-tab-hover-text/--uc-light-tab-hover-text), and the handful of rules in the sidebar and the Library window that hold literal colours because they can't read variables.
Fixed
- Text selection on about: pages follows the palette now. It was stuck on dark Gruvbox amber in both schemes and ignored any custom accent.
Notes
- Copy
userContent.cssagain if you want the selection fix.userChrome.cssonly changed in comments and its version stamp. - If you have customised colours, keep your palette values when you copy, both files carry them.
A patch release that is mostly comments. The code was fine, it was the documentation that had to ship a fix.
