3.8.2 – Quieter PDF controls
3.8.1 got Nova's violet out of the PDF viewer, and that surfaced the next problem: a lot of amber. Hovered rows filled amber, the sidebar controls had amber rings, and the selected thumbnail had an amber frame, all in the same small panel. When everything is highlighted, nothing stands out. This release brings the controls back down and leaves amber to mark state.
Changed
- Hover in the PDF viewer is now colour only, no fill. This covers toolbar icons, the zoom selector, the » menu, the sidebar buttons and the "Manage" and view menus. The icon or label turns the lighter amber from the tab title hover, so a toggled button (full accent) still reads as the stronger state.
- Sidebar controls and the zoom selector get a neutral Gruvbox hairline instead of an amber ring. Nova draws every secondary button's border in the accent colour, so FoxOne's amber had been ringing them without anyone asking it to.
Fixed
- The floating comment and highlight buttons under a text selection no longer hover violet. Their icons also use the full text colour now instead of Nova's dimmed grey. The same goes for the toolbar on a selected annotation.
