github Firnschnee/FoxOne 3.6.4

latest release: 3.6.5

A one-pixel release. The extensions button (the puzzle piece) has been sitting one pixel above the other nav-bar icons since (I am guessing here) Firefox 155, which is the kind of thing nobody notices until they draw a red line across the toolbar in Paint and then cannot unsee it. I did that. Shame on me. Anyway, here is the fix:

  • The unified-extensions button now sits on the same line as the rest of the nav-bar icons on Firefox 155. The 3.4.3 nudge was calibrated for 153 and has drifted again since.

Notes
If anyone ever stumbles upon these texts: I often write them to remember what I did and why I did it. Icon alignment in Firefox is optical, not typographic. Mozilla's icons have no shared baseline, and extension icons bring their own geometry, so this fix aligns the button box, not the ink. Basically, I aligned all the buttons to an imaginary bottom line.

Three releases in a week, all of them about pixels and positions. The theme is at the stage where the bugs have to be measured with a ruler...
