github Firnschnee/FoxOne 3.6.1

The 3.6 fullscreen fix let the toolbar hide. This release teaches it to come back politely. Hovering the top edge revealed the toolbar by shoving the entire page down with it, because the toolbox was still sitting in the layout flow. It now overlays the page like it always should have.

@NeroWolfe75 not only reported it within the hour (#46), he shipped the fix in the report. At this point he's less a bug reporter and more a department.

Fixed

  • F11 top-edge reveal (#46): the toolbar now overlays the page instead of displacing it. The toolbox leaves the document flow in fullscreen (position: fixed). Firefox keeps driving the hide/reveal margin, but the page no longer moves. Diagnosis and fix by @NeroWolfe75.
  • Follow-up: moving the mouse from the URL bar down onto the revealed bookmarks bar collapsed everything, because the bar hangs below the toolbox as an overlay and Firefox counted the hover as "left the toolbar". The toolbox now stays pinned while the bar or one of its folder menus is open.

Notes

  • Tested on Firefox 155beta, browser.nova.enabled=true as always.

PS: Last time I promised shorter release notes. One-fix releases help.
