Firefox 153 rebuilt containers, and it turns out this afternoon's 3.4.4 only covered the first half of that story. This one covers the rest: same corner of the browser, deeper layer of paint. If you use containers, this is the release where they look intentional again - and @acaprino's focus-only label reveal from 3.4.4 is exactly as shipped, now sitting on colours worth revealing!
Fixed
- With Nova enabled, the container indicator left a small coloured box in the URL bar even while hidden. Firefox 153 wraps the indicator in a pill with its own padding and tinted background; FoxOne collapsed only the contents and the empty shell stayed behind. The shell now collapses too - at rest the URL bar is clean again, hover and focus reveal what they should.
- Container colours went pastel. Nova swaps the whole container palette to muted design-system tokens, which drained the indicator, the label and the tab context-line glow. FoxOne restores the saturated pre-Nova palette and lifts the indicator and context-line a further step in brightness, with a soft glow on the icon to match the line above it.
- The tab context-line sat 6px too high. Nova offsets its own 4px stripe upward into the tab edge; FoxOne's 1px line inherited the shift and most of its glow was clipped away - the "why is this so dull" of this release. The line is pinned back into place and glows at full strength again!
Notes
- All of this applies to the supported
browser.nova.enabled=trueconfiguration.
