[1.255.0] — 2026-10-24
Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt) joins as the 19th UI locale — a 1,525-key dict with full EN parity, detection for vi/vi-VN, the full help bundle, README and CHANGELOG mirrors, cvstart.org landing integration, and the language switcher's 🇻🇳.
Added
- Vietnamese (
vi) — 1525/1525 keys with full parity toen;detect()acceptsviandvi-VN; Vietnamese is LTR (never added toRTL_LANGS). 'Pipeline' stays 'Pipeline' — a standard tech loanword, whitelisted. - Full docs/help/vi.md (33 H2 / 125 H3), plus README.vi.md and CHANGELOG.vi.md mirrors, and the Vietnamese scaffold strings in
prompts.mjs(LOCALE_NAMES+SCAFFOLD_STRINGS) so Vietnamese LLM output ships out of the box. - cvstart.org landing in Vietnamese —
site/src/i18n/vi.json, the sitemap locale entry and adashboard-vi.pngscreenshot; the language switcher gains 🇻🇳 (19 positions). - Enumeration gates 18 → 19 — LANGS, detect probes, i18n audit, changelog parity, README translations block, locale sweep — plus the red-first
tests/i18n-vi-locale.test.mjs(139 lines).
Notes
- The cvstart.org landing gains vi — a deliberate deviation from the ta precedent (that release kept the landing at 17 by design); documented in the release spec.
- vi is Latin-script, so the no-latin-leaks gate does not apply (it guards non-Latin locales); Latin tech vocabulary is the norm.
- Test floor: 5634 → 5642 (1 skipped = the opt-in layout-capture browser test, unchanged).
