- The release archive ships no
node_modulessymlinks again. The v1.242.0 git tag carried a rootnode_modulessymlink andsite/node_modules(a blanketgit add -Aslipped them past the trailing-slash ignore patterns), which failed the server deploy's tar extraction — the deploy rolled back safely and production stayed on 1.241.1. Both symlinks are untracked and the ignore patterns widened; the npm tarball was never affected (npm excludesnode_moduleswhen packing).
Notes
- App code is identical to v1.242.0 — packaging only. The sources-correctness content ships to production with this deploy (v1.242.0 never reached production; its server deploy rolled back on the tar failure).
- Deliberately not done: re-tagging v1.242.0 (npm already published 1.242.0; the registry tarball is clean — npm excludes
node_moduleswhen packing).
