This is mostly a maintenance release. Electron, React and several other dependencies are updated, and those updates include upstream security fixes. It also adds suggested next steps and a send queue to the chat, and fixes two bugs.
New
- Suggested next steps (58f1472). After a reply, the agent can offer up to three next steps as buttons under it. A click puts the step in the composer, and nothing is sent until you send it. Works on Pi and OMP. You can turn it off in Settings with "Suggest Next Steps".
- Send queue (58f1472). While a turn runs, Enter queues your message and its files for that workspace. The queued message goes out when the turn ends. Ctrl/Cmd+Enter or Send now pushes it into the running turn instead. If you stop a turn, or a turn fails or is refused, the queue waits until you send again.
- Run status (58f1472). The composer shows how long the current turn has run. If the agent sends nothing for 30 seconds and no tool is running, it shows a warning with a Stop button. That is usually a stuck model provider.
Fixes
- Home activity stats count OMP sessions too, and include cache read and write tokens in the totals. Large totals show B for billions (#105, 400ada5).
- A new session that restarted before its first answer (for example after a permission mode change) no longer shows "Failed to start OMP" with the composer locked. It starts a fresh session instead (ae7ab32).
- Electron is now 43.8.3. React, Vite, ESLint, i18next and zustand are updated as well, along with the GitHub Actions that build and publish releases (d2cbf67, fdc4ee1, 612cbb0).
Notes
This is alpha software. On-disk formats and behavior can change between releases. The macOS build is ad-hoc signed but not notarized, and the Windows build is unsigned.
