This release improves downloads, shortcuts, startup behavior, and page customization.
Highlights
- Choose a download folder: Android users can select where WebLibre saves downloaded files under Settings → General → Downloads. The choice also applies to saved links, images, and media.
- More shortcut choices: Installable websites can now be added to the home screen either as a standalone app or as a regular browser shortcut.
- Remembered page layout: Home, new-tab, and search sections now remember whether they were expanded or collapsed, even after restarting WebLibre.
- Improved home-page navigation: Pages opened from the browser home page now return to that home page when pressing back, while keeping the tab available.
- More reliable incoming links: Fixed links, shared text, and home-screen widget actions sometimes being hidden by the startup page when WebLibre was opened from a closed state.
- Better reset behavior: “Reset to Defaults” now also resets section expansion and collapse settings.
Notes
- Custom download folders require Android’s folder access permission.
- If a selected folder becomes unavailable, new downloads fall back to the system Downloads folder.
- When an external download manager is enabled, that app controls the download location.
