This alpha is a stability and input-handling release: links and shares now open reliably every time, tabs no longer get stuck after restoring several at once, and mouse/trackpad scrolling behaves correctly around menus and panels.
Fixed
- Tapping a link in another app, or sharing a page to WebLibre, could silently do nothing if WebLibre was already running in the background — it now opens immediately and correctly, whether WebLibre was closed or already open.
- Sharing or opening the exact same link twice in a row was sometimes ignored the second time; genuine repeats now always open.
- Several links or shares arriving in quick succession right at startup could overwrite each other so only the last one opened — all of them are now delivered, in order.
- Tabs could occasionally get stuck without updating their title, icon, or address bar — most noticeable after restoring several tabs at once, or when a site was set to always open in a specific container. This could also leave a newly created tab blank or create an unwanted duplicate tab.
- The previous web page could briefly flash or linger behind other screens, like Settings, when navigating away from the browser.
- Pull-to-refresh no longer accidentally triggers while watching a fullscreen video or playing a fullscreen game.
- Closing an add-on's settings or popup screen while it was still opening should no longer risk a crash.
Improved
- Mouse and trackpad users (desktop mode, Chromebooks, or a mouse-connected tablet): scrolling the wheel now correctly respects whatever menu or panel is open on top of the page, instead of scrolling or highlighting the page underneath it.
- Bottom sheets — the browser menu, tab view, site settings, and similar panels — can now be resized, dragged, and dismissed with a mouse wheel or trackpad, not just by touch.
- Home screen tiles — shortcuts, the add-shortcut button, search shortcuts, and the supporter banner — now blend consistently with your wallpaper instead of showing a patchwork of different transparency levels.
