This release is backwards compatible with the previous release.
Changes and Additions:
- Touch input heavily improved. Some things that have changed:
- Added a "Touch" tab in the settings menu, which includes:
- Single finger action, with the current options being "None", "Active Tool", "Pan", and "Lasso Select". This replaces the "Disable touch for drawing" from the previous version, as selecting "None" here is equivalent to enabling that option
- Two finger move options, which will allow you to toggle whether you want to zoom or rotate when using two fingers to move around the canvas. In addition to this, two finger rotation will snap to specific angles by default. You can disable that here
- Actions you can assign to two finger, three finger, and four finger taps. Not many actions for now, but two finger tap is currently assigned to "Undo" and three finger tap is currently assigned to "Redo"
- Fixed two finger canvas pan/zoom/rotate leaving behind brush strokes. InfiniPaint will undo actions done by the first finger to touch the screen, which would usually lead to unwanted brush strokes when trying to two finger pan/zoom/rotate in the previous version
- Various other small improvements that should make touch input less buggy in general, especially when combined with pen input
- Added a "Touch" tab in the settings menu, which includes:
- Added "Export Area" to Android version, which is equivalent to "Screenshot" on Desktop. You can also share exported images to other apps directly on Android
- Since camera can now snap to 0 degrees with touch, added "Show Coordinates" for grids on Android
- Textboxes now show text being composed
- Added a popup to show what angle the canvas is rotated at while you're rotating
- "Force Save" option on Android doesn't pop up when you're connected to a server
- Added the option to change the color of selected brush strokes on Android
- Fixed bounded grid disappearing when the canvas scales up
- Fixed crash when trying to load very old InfiniPaint files
- Fixed crash when trying to drag-drop images from a browser that the program can't download
- On Linux, compositor is no longer bypassed in X11
- Wayland support is now enabled on Linux. This isn't actually a big change on my end, since it was just a switch I had to flip, but I was waiting until SDL's pen support on Wayland reached a reasonable level. In the AppImage version, you can see whether you're using x11 or wayland and switch between which one to use by going to the General tab in settings. In the Flatpak version, the application is forced to use whatever the desktop environment is currently using. To change between X11/Wayland, modify the permissions of the Flatpak using something like Flatseal
