1.0.2: Video Super Resolution is out of prototype, made for movies and images.

  • Video Super Resolution works on the whole picture by default. NVIDIA's RTX Video Super Resolution in place of Lossless Scaling's NIS, for movies and video, images and photographs, text and interface. (The motion gate that keeps NIS where a game moves is still there as a setting for games, off by default.)
  • A picture that has not changed is not worked on again. A still image, a paused video, or a film at 24 or 30 pictures a second shown at 60 Hz or more gives the same picture to many frames in a row. The addon now compares each with the one VSR last worked on, on the card (a few noisy pixels do not count), and puts the last result out again: VSR runs once per new picture, not once per refresh. About 2 to 3 ms a picture at 1440p to 4K on an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, about 0.5 ms for a repeat. Settings skipRepeats and repeatTolerance; the panel's status line counts the pictures worked on and the repeats.
  • No more "prototype": the name, the panel and the guide are rewritten for pictures that are not games; the About tab lists it; the NVIDIA files it needs are still in its vfx folder. It needs an NVIDIA RTX card, NIS as the Scaling Type, and the picture in a window smaller than the screen.
  • Everything else is 1.0.1's: Setup leaves a file you have changed alone, EchoFG is a prototype in the package, the upscalers lighten generated frames when the card is full.

If you have an earlier version, this replaces it. Download LSAddonManager-1.0.2-x64.zip, unzip, run LSAddonManagerSetup.exe. SHA-256 of the zip: 7401721bb10282831b063f011a341291389574c885e70ffca56ceb105a48a2c3
