1.0.0: one recorder, one GPU limit, a model choice, and a stable addon interface.
- Recording is a feature of the manager. Features tab, Recording: a key (any of F1 to F12 with Ctrl+Shift), a tick when you press and a rising pair when the clip is saved, a note beside each file (
.lsrec.json: the game, the picture, which addons were on), Compact (8-bit, about a sixth of the size) or Exact, and keep going after the key. It finds Lossless Scaling's frames itself, so no addon has to be on, and with frame generation off it records the frame the scaling pass reads. - GPU limit is a feature of the manager. One slider (80 to 100 %) for all the addons: Neural Rendering's Auto quality and the upscalers' lighter mode for generated frames follow it. It reads the load of the card Lossless Scaling runs on (NVML on NVIDIA, Windows' counters on any other card).
- Neural Rendering: Model preset (Newer / Older). With NVIDIA's runtime 310.9.16 the default is the newer, smaller model (about 40 % less model time, a gentler effect); Older is the previous look. Your model file is still your own: it is not included and never downloaded.
- Addon API 1.3. Calls appended only (
RecorderFlags,RecorderOffer,RecorderSave,GpuLimitPercent,GpuLoadPercent, the eventEAM_EVENT_RECORDING_SAVED); addons built for 1.0 to 1.2 keep working, anddocs/api-compatibility.mdsays what will not change before 2.0. - Fixes: a second Check now straight after a check was ignored; a crash path in the host's graphics-card naming; the recorder's shutdown while a frame is being copied; ten findings of a review pass over the recorder and the limit.
- Docs and research: a rebuilt README, and measured studies kept in the repository (frame generators on real recordings, NVIDIA's optical flow hardware against our flow estimator). None of it is in a product.
