The recorder is one setting for all the addons.
- Recording works whichever addon's panel you switch it on in. Each addon had a recorder of its own, and switching it on in one that was not
the one working on the frames (the FSR Upscaler's, with the DLSS Upscaler running) recorded nothing: the save key answered "nothing recorded
yet". Now the Recording section is one setting (on or off, seconds, memory, folder), kept in every addon's settings and followed by each running
addon within half a second. The save key says so when the recorder is off, and where to switch it on. - Switching on "Motion by shape (test)" cannot stall Lossless Scaling any more when the engine stops while its extra shader (about 7
seconds to compile) is still being made: that compile owns its references and lets go of them when done. - Tools and tests:
nr_nrevalruns Neural Rendering's model on a recording and scores its flicker (still areas, along the motion with a heat
map, the live path with the model's own motion; findings indocs/frame-generation-research.md);nr_srevalscores shimmer and detail with no
reference picture (for 1:1) and takessharpen=: on recorded World of Warcraft at 1:1, sharpening 0.7 gives 2.3 times the game's own detail and
37 to 55 % more frame-to-frame shimmer, 0.3 gives 1.5 times with 8 to 17 % more; about 0.1 to 0.15 is neutral. The host test that expected DLSS
to follow a sliding picture better than with no motion now checks the motion path does no harm (DLSS cannot benefit without the game's camera
jitter; the upscaler leans on the new frame by design).
