Echo Addon Manager 0.4.0
Tested against Lossless Scaling 3.2.2.0 (the official build) on Windows 11 with an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. Other setups are untested. Unofficial and not affiliated with the Lossless Scaling developers: read DISCLAIMER.md first.
DLSS 5 Neural Rendering needs a file you provide yourself. It needs your own copy of
nvngx_dlssnr.dll. It is not included in this download, this project does not download it, and it does not say where to get it. Everything else works without it.
The version number goes from 0.2.3 to 0.4.0 on purpose (0.3 is skipped): the step from 0.2.x is bigger than a patch. The addon API is unchanged (1.0.0).
What changed since 0.2.3
- The Neural Rendering panel is reorganised into titled blocks with a line between them: Status, Requirements, Saved looks, Neural Rendering (the on/off switch) and Settings.
- Requirements is always open. It starts with what you have to do yourself (provide your own model file) in three numbered steps, then a one-line verdict, a row for each requirement, and the actions: Browse for the model file... and Test compatibility first.
- Saved looks (load and save your settings) says what a look is and what Save, Save as new and Delete do.
- The first slider section is now Model (what it does to the picture), so it no longer sounds like a saved look.
- The Settings tab section is now Backup and restore (save and load your settings), with a line saying what it keeps.
- The provide-your-own-file notice is at the top of the README, in
INSTALL.txt, and in the addon's description on its card. - Bugsweep. A strict
/W4 /analyzebuild found nothing serious. Fixed: the addon search box mishandled non-ASCII names (undefined behaviour); the crash logger could pass a null pointer on; some return values were ignored. The window, feature and core tests were run repeatedly to look for timing problems: none. - Cleanup: an unused source is no longer built; a README link is now a plain address.
Highlights of the 0.2 to 0.4 line
Ghost guard for Neural Rendering; ReShade input passthrough and Windowed mode built into the manager (Features tab); the manager's window, addon handling and settings code rewritten with offline tests; the exit-crash fix; the Requirements check, Browse for the model file... and the compatibility test (nr_selftest.exe). See the changelog.
nr_selftest.exe is unsigned, like everything in this project. If your security software removes it, the Test compatibility button says the test program is missing and nothing else is affected.
Install
- Download
EchoAddonManager-0.4.0-x64.zipbelow and unzip it. - Close Lossless Scaling and open its folder.
- First time only: rename the original
Lossless.dlltoLossless_original.dll(keep it: the manager forwards to it). - Copy
Lossless.dll, the twoLP-iconfiles and theaddonsfolder from the zip into that folder. - Start Lossless Scaling once. The manager opens by itself.
Upgrading from 0.2.x: copy the new files over the old ones. Nothing to migrate. Start only one copy of Lossless Scaling at a time.
It started from FrankBarretta's LosslessProxy; see NOTICE.md.
