Echo Addon Manager 0.2.2
Tested against Lossless Scaling 3.2.2.0 (the official build) on Windows 11 with an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. Other setups are untested. Unofficial and not affiliated with the Lossless Scaling developers: read DISCLAIMER.md first.
Fixed
- A crash when Lossless Scaling exits. Lossless Scaling can end its process without the manager shutting the addons down first. A background thread that was still tracked at that moment made Windows abort the program (exit code
0xC0000409, shown as an error on closing). Fixed in Neural Rendering and in the manager (the ReShade passthrough watcher and the Performance tab's GPU sampler). 0.2.0 and 0.2.1 have this weakness, so updating is worthwhile. It was found with new tests that end the process the way Lossless Scaling can; they failed before the fix and pass now.
New
- Neural Rendering shows what it needs. A line at the top of its panel is always visible: green "all in place", amber for a note, red for what stops it from running. Below it, a Requirements section lists the graphics card, the NVIDIA driver's NGX core, the model file (its version and size compared with the build this was tested with), the helper DLL and the engine, each OK, NOTE or MISSING with what to do. Engine errors are explained in words. Nothing is loaded or downloaded to check.
- Browse for the model file... copies the model file you pick into the Lossless Scaling folder. The file that was there is moved to
backups, never deleted. - The release zip now uses standard
/path separators.
DLSS 5 Neural Rendering needs your own copy of nvngx_dlssnr.dll. It is not included, this project does not download it, and it does not say where to get it. Build tools: tools\fetch_ngx_sdk.ps1 fetches the NVIDIA SDK files needed only to build from source; they are not in this release.
Install
- Download
EchoAddonManager-0.2.2-x64.zipbelow and unzip it. - Close Lossless Scaling and open its folder.
- First time only: rename the original
Lossless.dlltoLossless_original.dll(keep it: the manager forwards to it). - Copy
Lossless.dll, the twoLP-iconfiles and theaddonsfolder from the zip into that folder. - Start Lossless Scaling once. The manager opens by itself.
Upgrading from 0.2.1: copy the new files over the old ones. Nothing to migrate. Start only one copy of Lossless Scaling at a time.
