Echo Addon Manager 0.2.1

Tested against Lossless Scaling 3.2.2.0 (the official build) on Windows 11 with an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. Other setups are untested. Unofficial and not affiliated with the Lossless Scaling developers: read DISCLAIMER.md first.

What changed

  • The manager window's code was rewritten (window, tray icon, hotkey, display scale, the icons and the tabs with the status bar), with an offline test that drives the real window. It looks and behaves as before, with one fix: with the interface size set above or below 100 %, the window was saved at the wrong size and came back smaller after each close.
  • Neural Rendering's helper DLL is now nvngx.dll_dlss5nr01.dll (it was nvngx.dll_lspnr.dll); the old prefix is gone from the addon's internals too. Nothing changes on screen.
  • Repository clean-up. Six of NVIDIA's DLSS SDK header files had been committed by mistake in the 0.2.0 source. They are removed from the repository and its history, so commit hashes after 0.1.0 changed and the v0.2.0 tag points at the rewritten commit. The release zips never contained them. If you cloned the repository before now, clone it again. The SDK is needed only to build Neural Rendering from source, not to use this release.
  • The About text now says just under a third of the code is the original project's (29.4 % by the measuring script).

Install

  1. Download EchoAddonManager-0.2.1-x64.zip below and unzip it.
  2. Close Lossless Scaling and open its folder.
  3. First time only: rename the original Lossless.dll to Lossless_original.dll (keep it: the manager forwards to it).
  4. Copy Lossless.dll, the two LP-icon files and the addons folder from the zip into that folder.
  5. Start Lossless Scaling. The manager opens by itself.

DLSS 5 Neural Rendering also needs your own copy of nvngx_dlssnr.dll next to LosslessScaling.exe; it is not included and this project does not say where to find it.

Upgrading from 0.2.0: copy the new files over the old ones. Nothing to migrate. The old nvngx.dll_lspnr.dll in addons\DLSS5NR01 is no longer used and can be deleted.

Full details: the changelog. It started from FrankBarretta's LosslessProxy; see NOTICE.md.
